Student Financial Services
Did you know that your FINANCIAL AID GPA is different from your ACADEMIC GPA?
Approximately 83% of our students receive some type of financial aid. So there is ample opportunity for you to find financial aid by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA.) A FAFSA is used to determine your need/eligibility for financial aid. Since JSU will prepare a financial aid package only after receipt of the results of the FAFSA and any additional paperwork that may be required, it is recommended that you complete your financial aid file before the March 15 priority deadline.
You may continue to complete your financial aid files after this date, but may not be awarded prior to the tuition due date if completed after July. Be sure to have your application for admission to JSU completed first!
Our Office is here to assist you with any concerns or questions you may have about the financial aid process. Please view our FAQ & Hints page to see if your question has already been answered, or contact our office.
