If you are currently living on campus, the Returning Student Application opens Friday, March 1 within MyResCenter. Room selection will take place during March 11-15. If you are not currently living on campus, you will need to log in to MyResCenter and submit the Transfer/New Upperclassman Application which is available now.

Cost is $2700 per person per semester (utilities included). The lease is for 12 months which includes fall, spring, and summer semesters.

No. Amenities include a kitchen with new stainless steel appliances (refrigerator, oven, microwave, dishwasher), which allows residents to prepare their own meals.

Only 4-bedroom units are available at this time.

One pet (cat or dog) allowed per unit. A $350 non-refundable pet deposit is required along with an additional $25 per month for pet rent. Restricted dog breeds include: Pit Bulls, Staffordshire Terriers, Doberman Pinschers, Rottweilers, Chows, Great Danes, Presa Canarios, Akitas, Alaskan Malamutes, German Shepherds, Siberian Huskies, Wolf-hybrids, or a mix of any of the above. Animals must be properly vetted with vaccination records along with registration in the city of Jacksonville. There is a weight limit of 40lbs. Owners of animals are solely responsible for any damage to persons or property caused by their animal. The student’s residence may be inspected for physical damage, fleas, ticks, or other pests. If fleas, ticks, or other pests are detected through inspection, the residence will be treated using approved fumigation methods from a University-approved pest control service. The student will be billed for the expense of any treatment. The student’s residence and/or work area may be inspected to ensure that it is being properly cleaned and that sanitary and safe conditions are maintained. If required, the owner will be billed for the expense of the additional cleaning required.
An animal may be removed if its behavior is unruly or disruptive (e.g., barking, growling, damaging personal belongings of individuals’ other than the owner, running around, or displaying aggressive behavior). The owner may be prohibited from bringing the animal on property until the owner takes significant and effective remedial steps to correct the animal’s behavioral problems. Owners who fail to properly clean up and dispose of the animal’s waste may be required to remove the animal from the property. It is the responsibility of the owner to relieve the animal in designated areas and to bag and dispose of solid pet waste in a trash receptacle.

Silver decals will be issued to residents of The Pointe @ JSU.

Students who currently live on campus who relocate to The Pointe @ JSU will need to submit The Pointe @ JSU Room Change Request form online (http://www.jsu.edu/housing/forms/the-pointe-request.html).

If your request is approved, you will receive an email from the Office of Housing Operations with specific instructions for relocating to The Pointe @ JSU.

If you do not currently live on campus and want to move into The Pointe @ JSU now, you will need to submit a Transfer/New Upper Class Resident Application Spring 2019 application online through MyResCenter and pay the $200 nonrefundable application fee.

Rent is inclusive of water, sewer, trash, cable TV, internet, and electricity.

Yes, there is a Gamecock Express bus stop inside the gated entrance.

No, payments must be made per semester by payment due date.

Courtesy police officer living on site. Additional security measures include gated entry with access cards and security cameras throughout the property.

Yes, JSU Residence Life staff members will conduct monthly health and safety inspections.

Residents are not able to sublease per the JSU Housing Lease Agreement. Lease terms are for 12 months. Students seeking to break their leases will need to refer to the Housing Operations and Residence Life policy regarding “Housing Buyout Request.”

No, all furniture must remain in the unit.

Beginning Fall 2019, $200 refundable security deposit charged to student’s account within 7 business days of assignment. 

Summer 2019 will be a separate lease. We will release more details soon regarding summer housing at The Pointe.
