JSU and ACCS Announce New Agreement to Benefit Nursing Instructors

The Jacksonville State University Department of Nursing is happy to announce a new agreement with the Alabama Community College System to provide JSU’s Post-Graduate Nurse Educator Certificate Program to ACCS nurse educators across the state.

 
President Beehler Receives National HR Award

President John M. Beehler has been awarded the College and University Professional Association for Human Resources 2017 Chief Executive HR Champion Award.
 
JSU Hosts First STEAM Camp

Beginning in middle school, there is a significant drop-off of student interest in science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM) topics, particularly from girls. In a collaborative effort to combat this drop in interest, this summer, Jacksonville State University and the Anniston Community Education Foundation teamed up to host a pilot camp program.
 
Phone Service Interruptions Scheduled On July 14

Some phone service will be interrupted Friday morning, July 14, at 7 a.m., due to a security software upgrade. This will be of short duration and is necessary to keep our system current.

Trustee Circle will be closed in front of Sparkman Hall on Monday morning, July 10.
 
Student Bus Tickets for Kickoff Football Game On Sale July 10-Aug. 1

The JSU SGA will be providing bus transportation for students to the JSU vs. Chattanooga kickoff game on August 26. Students interested in riding a bus to Montgomery can purchase a $40 bus ticket in the Dean of Students' Office.

JSU students are hosting a school supply drive to make going back to school less stressful for area children in need.

On July 26 each year, the Americans with Disabilities Act is celebrated throughout the country as ADA Day. However, 365 days of the year, Jacksonville State University works to provide students with disabilities the support they need to pave the road to success.
 
Gamecock Football to Open Season on ESPN

The Gamecocks' opener against rival Chattanooga will be played in the renovated Cramton Bowl in Montgomery on Aug. 26 and will be televised on ESPN as the network's inaugural Montgomery Kickoff Classic.

JSU Announces Two New Degree Programs

Jacksonville State University is pleased to announce the addition of two new degrees: a Bachelor of Science in Forensic Investigation and Master of Science in Nursing. The programs were recently approved by the Alabama Commission on Higher Education.
